Public policy
Policy research, drafting, and scheme review, kept separate from anything that became actual policy.
Why I do this
I build software, and software keeps running into rules: who can use data, how platforms are governed, how public schemes reach the people they are meant for. I want to understand that side well enough to hold informed opinions about it, and to be useful when those questions come up in my own work.
GCTP 2025
In 2025 I participated in GCTP 2025 and worked on several public policy issues. What I did:
- Policy drafting. I created and drafted about five policy proposals and policy documents. They dealt with different geopolitical contexts within India and with city development.
- Scheme review. I reviewed government schemes.
- Policy challenge. I took part in a three-day public policy challenge that involved bureaucrats and corporate leaders.
What this was, and what it was not
This was research, drafting, review, and challenge work. Nothing on this page claims that a proposal was adopted, commissioned, or implemented by any government body, and none of it should be read that way.
The organiser's full name, the titles of the proposals, the schemes reviewed, and the format of the challenge will be added here once I can publish them accurately. Until then this page stays short on purpose.
