## Seoni

Ayush grew up in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh (locally also said as Sivni or Shivni). His family came to the town from a village so the children could study, and study in English. They worked hard to build a home there. He finished both his 10th and 12th grades at Mission English Higher Secondary School, Seoni.

## The forests nearby

Seoni sits next to Pench Tiger Reserve. The "Seeonee hills" of Kipling's The Jungle Book take their name from the town, and the forest Kipling drew on survives mainly as Pench and Kanha. Kipling never visited. Sources: https://www.penchtiger.org/ and https://www.kiplingsociety.co.uk/readers-guide/rg_junglebook_location.htm
